Funeral Services - Care Home Residents
What the buyer wrote
Nottinghamshire County Council sought a suitably experienced organisation to deliver Funeral Services across Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City). The Council has a statutory duty to undertake the cremation or burial of people who die whilst living in residential and nursing care accommodation and who have no-one willing or able to make funeral arrangements for them. It is estimated that the contract will involve the provision of approximately thirty funerals per year. The contract is awarded for an initial period of three years. There is an option to extend for up to a further two years in twelve month increments.
