RFQ 2025/30 - NMANDD PEACEPLUS Local Action Plan Cultural Programme – “Castles and Tower Houses of East Ulster and Louth” for the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area

The process will raise awareness of the wealth of important medieval tower houses and castles in the region of East Ulster and into County Louth, which contribute key elements to our understanding of our built heritage, patterns of changing settlement in the region, relationships between communities including between existing communities and new settlers, changing patterns of land ownership and usage, conflict between and within communities, relationships with the wider world, cultural change, changes in economy and society, maritime heritage and the development of towns in the region.
